Broken Legions AAR
« on: September 14, 2016, 05:00:38 PM »
We had a fun game of Broken legions on Sunday.
I used the roman list and adjusted it a bit to come up with a Carthaginan warband that would be facing a gallic warband.

We selected the sacred shrine scenario...

Some pictures

The gauls arrive...

The Carthaginians join

Battle is joined... there are two objectives on the sides of the shrine and the shrine itself is the key objective..

Both forces maneuver and actually try to overpower the opponents left flank !

But the gauls appear to be succeeding in their task faster

Carthaginian commander in a tough spot

while the gallic chieftain deals with some warhounds

In the end the Gauls prevail, despite losing their druid in the fight they rout the carthaginians off the table

Really a fun simple straightforward set of rules...

How long did it take you to play?
I am still concerned about hearing that
it took a long time to play the game with only
a handful of figures.

It took as two and a half hours at the most. It was our first game so we were checking a trait here or there...

I like 2.30 hs.. it is a good amount of time to do two games in one afternoon ..

Nice to see another game with different factions!

I am expecting the rules in the mail somewhen next week, and am looking forward to give them a read-through.
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!
