Help identifying this spaceship mini
« on: April 17, 2019, 11:19:07 PM »
I saw this posted on an RPG forum. The owner doesn't remember where he got it but said he thought it was from a Kickstarter.

Any thoughts?

The non-standard base would suggest it's not a regular miniatures wargame mini, but rather a boardgame one. And there are quite a lot of boardgames on Kickstarter ::)

The other, smaller, ships with moulded on bases to the right would support this theory. But I have absolutely no clue which game these are from...

I do like the design btw. It could work really well as part of a certain rag tag fleet of refugees following a lone battleship around ;)
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

I came to exactly the same conclusion as Daeothar from the image. Not much help, sorry.

If it was lead not resin, i might have suggested irregular miniatures?

But otherwise? Sorry

It's almost certainly PVC plastic, not resin.  I've done a crawl of KS projects involving spaceships but didn't get a match.  Puzzling.  Hopefully somebody can tell us.

Thanks!

The suggestion that it was a boardgame was all I needed.
It's from a game called Destiny Aurora: Renegades.

Yeah, I was almost sad when I found it... the search is the real game of it.

Recently on a FB collector's page someone asked to identify a mystery model. They provided a front and back photo ... the front view clearly showed the words 'Dark Elf' on the tab and the rear view 'Marauder'.

First reply was, "Urm ... well, I'm guessing it's a Marauder Dark Elf ... like it says."

It wasn't such a great game that one.

You and me both, especially when it's spaceships.  Now I can sleep tonight.  :)
