been busy with the putty - slightly image heavy
« on: October 03, 2016, 02:43:32 PM »
Hi all, I lost access to my old email and hadn't realised I'd lost my password and anyway to sort it out until I went to
update my profile - big thumbs up to Alex who sorted it all out for me  8)

Pandora's Pot - another multi-purpose piece, a hollow pot with a lid that only fits on one way - my take on the older story of Pandora having a lidded jar rather
than the later box. I've sculpted a "seed of hope" too but the whole thing can be used to hold random encounter markers for Cthulhu games or LARP
as well as folk who like horror artifacts. Well, hopefully!

This will be released directly from me around end of November, stands 11.5cm tall and is a bigger brother to the "Living Icon" sold through Fenris Games
that I sculpted, decided to try my hand at direct sale.............  :o

loads more pics on my gallery http://postimg.org/gallery/39lmmadq6/

AND.............. "I am blind yet I perceive more than you will ever see" part of 3 and my
twist on the "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil" - all comments and crits gladly received and I only hope others enjoy things that escape from my
head into reality. Let me know if the images are too large etc - I've optimized for 1600 pixels wide......

I've got more images in my gallery at http://postimg.org/gallery/1k7vv2vzy/

as always all feedback, comments and crits welcomed, it's all about pushing myself to improve

I could be wrong, but I reckon they were made from green stuff using something like this:

Mason already beat me to the answer on the tubing at the back, the tubing below the head is made from cheap USB fans and lights
that come with a poseable metal flex - I get them from £1 shops here in the UK. The middle pipe is 2 different sizes of ribbed tubing
gathered from discard piles at work when we fix dishwashers etc.

One tip I have for Green Stuff - I use hand cream - Aqueous Base Cream to be precise rather than water, small amount on my fingers
when mixing and work some of it into the putty helps it to not stick to the plates when making tubes. I also use it on my sculpting tools
to get smooth finish and just wash the pieces down after. Personally I prefer it to water that most folk use. Good for the skin!!

Good to know as I have been eyeing them up for a while and may just take the plunge now that you have recommended it.

I just use saliva.
