Wow, great to see you back again - that stuff looks amazing too! very impressed!

double thanks BlueShoggoth - great to be back after totally lunching my login!!

Glad you like the sculpting, in a process of constant improvement and trying to speed up a bit
at the moment and trying a few things on the go at once too - without overwhelming myself LOL

You've sculpted something that Giger would surely had hung on his wall. Congratulations.

I don't think I'd be worthy of a place on Mr Giger's wall yet - maybe in his out-house?  ;)

Pleases be careful to never mention tentacles and outhouses in the same thread !!

Your sculpting makes it hard to lift my chin so my mouth closes !!

first batch of resin casts are in from Hysterical Games and I'm over the moon with them, all the
tiny skin details are captured a treat taken some pics under different lighting

thanks Mason, just slapping some wash and colour on to see what it comes up like with a really simple quick
and easy bit of paint!

here's my brush efforts for this afternoon on one of the resin casts, went for a muted palette, so the torn flesh isn't showing red gore underneath.
I did a thinned black wash directly over the resin, blacked in the tubes solid matt, the eyes were leather brown that was dabbed out with a cloth and
the same for the band covering the eyes with a lighter brown. That was all left to dry then a drybrush of white was applied over the whole thing to pick
up the highlights, the outer edge was matt black then a drybrush of antique bronze, brass, then gold and finally aluminum

I will do another one with flesh tones and the skin blended out to the creature behind, there are so many ways you could paint this but I'm really happy
with how this one has transitioned from my head to a sculpt and now a finished item.

First 3 images are taken using flash

these 3 images are just the room light - I thought I'd share them all as different monitors/phones will show the details better on some screens
in one light and in others the variants will work better

Looks amazing.
Would never be able to hang it anywhere in the house though. It'd give the kiddies nightmares....
