I just saw that as well. Seems like 'box scale' to me  :?

Considering they are willing to share the size and not the scale you might well be right. :? But like you say, always nice to see more kits, Zvezda stuff tends to be cheap with ok quality in my experience (even their licenced stuff) and this would be one heck of kit, even just to have up on a shelve. Or you know, go crazy break it into pieces and use those a terrain for some other game. at 60cm you should be able to make enough chunks for a decent table.

A new addition arrived in this morning's post.

A printed Immobiliser

Plus I've built and painted a first Nebulon frigate...more to follow!

Having all the models in scale with one another really does illustrate the point, if it was needed, that Nebs really wouldn't stand a chance against a star destroyer. I'm envisaging that frigate-sized vessels would operate in a similar fashion to modern frigate, ie screening the capital ships from fighters/bombers, and slugging it out with the other sides frigates....

Nice to see the Neb painted up, the size of some of these is quite something.

Most are available from the Starship Modeller store....now and again....they tend to go in/out of stock pretty quickly.  JPG Castings are on Facebook.  The Anigrand kits are OOP but appear on fleabay....now and again.... The Immobiliser is printed by a guy in Russia, who sells them on fleabay - just search immobiliser and you will find him - he does a whole load of kits for other genre including Stargate.

Basically, these have been collected over the last couple of years of patiently trawling the web - unfortunately, due to the nature of garage kits they tend to appear/disappear frequently.

Thanks for the info!

Sorry I couldn't just give everyone a shopping list of links for Christmas - starship modeller are  pretty good, but it takes a bit of persistence to find some of the rarer items.

Part of the fun for me is in the hunt, although I'm pretty sure my OCD is getting worse....I find myself logging onto eBay at all hours of the night just in case someone has decided to flog some OOP kit.... :D

First few Imperial ships painted up, an ageing Venator (part of a reserve formation), a Tartan Patrol vessel, an Immobiliser, and the obligatory tie fighters.

Lovely paint scheme on the Neb B Akula!

Thanks mate. Funnily enough, I considered repainting it this weekend because I wasn't happy with it....

....at this rate I will never get this lot in a game.
