I'm not sure I'm ready yet to build the big one.....

The Anigrand Avenger class is over 70cm long.....

Think I'll build some smaller stuff first....

A Tartan class patrol cruiser - another Nic Sagan model, very quick to build, just needed the engines adding, primed up, ready to paint.

It looks sufficiently menacing if you are a rebel running the blockade.....

Have got this one to build next, an Anigrand Neb.

Had a friend who built a star destroyer as an art project (back in 1997, so not sure if I can find the pictures). Not sure about the scale, but he used Pringle tubes for the engines, so it came in at about 2½ metres long. Looked like some kind of surrealist surfboard.
He made a wall mounted flying stand for when he wasn't gaming with it.

I get a lot more joy from seeing these pictures of unbuild unpainted ship models then I should. There is something immensely satisfying having all that in scale next to each other, especially with the falcon and other well-known ships in there.

Zvezda just started announcing they are doing a star destroyer. By my untrained eye it looks like an imperial II class, but I could well be wrong. Size is "60cm" according to Zvezda so that would put it at 1/2666 but who knows.

Good to see more kits coming out though  8)
