Jacksarge, I somehow missed your thread. I love your painting style and the variety of manufacturers you use. The Dioramaesque pics are pure eye candy.

These three stalwart fellows are from Eureka Miniatures small but splendid Dark Ages range. I did some slight conversion work on the figure with the green shield (left). He was sold as a Visigoth and had a rather pointed helm, I wanted a more generic look & so filed down the helm & added some reinforcing bars with greenstuff. The shield decals are Celtic designs from LBMS.

Beautiful figures and a real inspiration.  My little project isn't nearly as far along and I like checking your work out for ideas.  I hope to build a village and would like to pick your brain at some point if you would be willing to offer some advice.

They are splendid! Faces and shields and everything! A great addition to your collection! Well done!

Much appreciated Din. I still have some more to photograph, & plenty more that need painting. I have been slightly distracted by Middle Earth - painting Conqueror Models Dwarves for my collection at the moment.

Wonderful additions to a great project.

And 'Thanks!' for that info.
Never heard of them before but I think that I just found the perfect ME Dwarves for my needs.

This wild hairy warrior is "Ulf the quarrelsome" from Footsore Miniatures, sculpted by Bill Thornhill. A fun figure to paint, he has a very cool Celtic design from LBMS on the shield.
