Masked minions armed with electric rifles!
Also two flamer support troopers.

To go along with this elite unit, I have almost finished 30 regular troopers with automatic rifles, a mix of 20 newly painted and 10 touched up figures. To support them I have two field carriage mounted electro-guns, two Armoured mechanical conveyances with electro-gun turrets, and 2x4 mechanical soldier units.

Re: My armies on Mars mechanical men new on page 3 (Oct 22nd)

Lets try this again...

So I posted up pictures of my French juggernauts a while ago only to realize that I had reversed the flag! ::)
Now that was bad of me, but after 50+ views why did someone not politely or even not so politely point out my error? ???

I am just happy to have spotted the error, which is now corrected.

So I have only the three vehicles for the French forces, that will also have mechanical men as back up (previously posted)

Also posted are pics of a civilian explorer walker.

The walker is by Ironclad miniatures.
The armoured conveyances started life as yellow toy dozers. Just visualize the back as the front, with a dozer blade.

I recognized the hexapod immediately, but still impressed on the paintup. REALLY like!

Menelduir , I assumed the armoured tractors were a toy conversion, but not sure from what. Do you have an unconverted one, or link to a store, for an image of the original?

As for the Tricolor, sir, I don't recall seeing it in use elsewhere by you, but if I had, I'm sure mine would have been the same guilt of silence for having just not noticed, or worse, not knowing...  ;)

Sorry I missed the recent replies, I thought something would ping me to let me know a reply had been posted ::)
Thank you for the comments.

Sadly I do not have any before pictures, but here is my attempt to reconstruct what they were before.
They were bright yellow (like the plow) and had buttons on the top of the cab to activate lights and sound effects. The 'black and white' picture shows the models pretty much as they originally appeared, with the added pipe edited out, and plastic card covering where the buttons were. Think they may have cost around $5-7 maybe got them at Toys r Us or Walmart.

Really not a whole lot of reworking done. Removal of some stuff, and a stovepipe from my box of stuff, and a gun from some pack of weapon add-ons from some defunct 15mm alternate WWII game.

Next up, and to avoid not having any before pictures I present these pics.
The bigger one is a remarkably ugly dozer that I liked because of how ugly it is.
This will be for the Brits.

The other shovel thing is being converted to a tractor to tow artillery and infantry, while I have special plans for the shovel, plans that have sat around for a few years now...

Those last couple of conversions really work great.
I am going to build a wargames army, a big beautiful wargames army, and Mexico is going to pay for it.

2019 Painting Challenge :
figures bought: 500+
figures painted: 57
9 vehicles painted
4 terrain pieces scratchbuilt

Not to worry about the previous 'no before'; you really went to too much work recreating.  :D

Much obliged, though!

The bigger one is a remarkably ugly dozer that I liked because of how ugly it is.

That is the way of it, no? SO many times, 'that's hideous; there MUST be a use!'  ;D

Intrigued by 'special plans', of course, but try not to remind us of the aging pile of 'there MUST be a use!' waiting for us all.  ;)

Those last couple of conversions really work great.

Too right!
