Well it has been a while since I last posted (again).
However I now find myself unencumbered with employment and ample time to pursue my hobbies.
First up some 'banth' type creatures. Painted for a pulp adventure in an ancient tomb, but always intended for Mars and VSF adventures.

Ramping up my painting projects, and living up to my self imposed moniker of the unfocused gamer, I am currently working on wild west, VSF, zombies oh and maybe some 15mm ACW. I do have more time due to my semi retired status, and I am determined to max out on my production levels. Stay tuned it new up dates soon.

I mean it cross my heart it will happen (just which LAF board will it be on...)

Had an epiphany on the smaller two, which turned into deja vu. Went to blog to realize "oh, yeah, I saw piccies of those in 'Valor & Steel & Flesh...'

In both cases, I immediately thought 'Sammael the Destroyer!'  ;D

Handsomely done, and your return gives renewed hope to the 'I'll never get anything done...' ;)

This week (wouldn't it be great if I could finish stuff on a weekly basis), I have some Dominion of Canada militia ready for service on Mars. They have been partially painted, and might I say badly half painted, for a few years. Finally inspired to finish them. They were bad enough that I think starting fresh would have been a better plan.

On the other positive side I have another dozen Canadian troops, and some artillery on the table that will be done for next week, so yeah maybe I can do a weekly post for a while. Also inspired to tackle my large selection of RAFM Martian, especially the cavalry. Got to say this site is working again to inspire and encourage me to finish off my lead mountain and post the pics.

Oh yeah, I think I really need to develop some photography skills... ::)

Good eyes (given the focus on the pictures)

Yes they are Foundry ACW figures, really nice figures.
The officers and NCOs are RAFM. Really short figures which is why they are on raised bases.

You remind me I have some Japanese troops that I really need to get onto my painting table. :)

Hey Gisby

I am very familiar with your site, I have a link to it on my blog lol
I also have a large number or wood elf/martians in my paint cue courtesy of your earlier posts!

Lovely work, quite inspiring too.

Those 'banth' creatures - may I ask where you got them from? Been looking for something like that myself.

I like that they have Havelocks.  Makes perfect sense in those desert conditions !

Thanks
The big guys are by Bronze age miniatures, available through Fenris miniatures in the UK.
The small ones are OOP Paroom Station figures.

FYI since posting these pics I have repainted the manes black to make them stand out more...

It's alive, it's alive, the thread that would not die!
I debated over starting a new thread or keeping the old one, and well, obviously, I decided to resurrect this thread instead.

This time around I have some pics of three Parroom Station tripods that have languished on my shelf for untold years...

They are currently configured for AQMF, but could easily be deployed in support of my Martian forces on Mars. The cages would really only hold one or two 28mm captives. I was working on my own tripods, but the arrival of AQMF derailed those plans as it was easier to use them for 28mm scale tripods.

In digging through my collection of VSF stuff to find these, old models, I could not ignore the other unpainted VSF figures just sitting there begging to be painted. I think I will start working on small amounts of unfinished stuff between other big projects.

Big unit FFOL would certainly help to get me inspired (just in case a certain Baron is looking at this posting) ;)

I guess Mars is the one environment where British Redcoats are wearing camouflage !

I agree!
I have some camel corp troops almost completed, and I have decided to issue them a 'Mars pattern' uniform, in a dark red/maroon colour and not the usual jacket colour.
