Excellent painting. I especially love your color choiches. An overall not-too-saturated hues. Do you use your colors as they are in the pot (so buy them with this look in mind) or do you use some "trick" (i.e. mixing a small amount of grey to your colors) ?

A bit of both really, but if mixing then flesh/bone instead of grey.

The whites and blues on the elf are great. And the dark but not monochrome ranger is also great.
