Love your Jaffa, Akula.

A perhaps interesting but admittedly irrelevant note:

I'm from Vancouver and I used to see Stargate in production quite regularly in a local park. I'd be walking the dog and come upon a whole series of Styrofoam ruins, the outdoor Stargate (before they broke it and went CG) and usually a lone Teamster sitting in a truck supervising. The next day when the production crews arrived it was like the circus had come to town. My dog and I would watch solemnly from the sidelines. I was personally glared at by Richard Dean Anderson on one occasion.

Anyway - Jaffa armor, while looking silver on screen, appears black in person. Black plates over black knitted "chainmail". The silver is mainly due to a shiny finish on the "plates" and metallic fibre in the mail.

"Something had happened in the dim past...! A natural disaster coupled with Radiation! The people in the bunkers lived out their lives and died dreaming of a day of return---The radiation would be gone---and the world would be left waiting---"

Thanks all.  Interesting story Kamandi, I'll keep the silver "onscreen" look though.

 :)
