Well, I don't have much to show right now, but as I have purchased these:





and plan to get some zombiecalypse gaing going again this winter (I have dabbled a bit, but cannot find the pics from the Dead Walk Again, and Fear and Faith games I played several years ago), I needed a placeholder on this sub-forum.

I shall return with something a bit more substantial as soon as I find the time to get a solo game of Dead Walk Again squeezed in.

The Prelude To Woodbury set is good for solo play, though if you want to generate  "official" characters, you might want to check the "Days Gone Bye" expansion.

If you saw Series 13 episode 16 of Supernatural, there is always the Cartwright brothers from Hasslefree if you need some heavy support.

Sadly, none of my regular TV providers show Supernatural (and I don't subscribe to any of the streaming services), but I'll have a look, anyway!

So how did you make the boards?

They are 'painter's felt' or whatever it is called in English - that material used for covering floors when painting walls and ceilings, coated with plastic on the backside, to prevent spilled paint to soak through.

I simply cut to the desired size and shape, paint it with a generous amount of the base colour (artist's acrylics, much cheaper than hobby paints), let dry and drybrush the texture with a lighter colour.

Dead simple and very cheap!

These are so small that they will not need it, but larger mats can be rolled up with ease for storage/transport.

I cannot take credit for the idea of using that material - a couple of years ago, now, at the Horisont con, I played a game of Congo presented by Jonas on a mat made by DrTheViking.
