A Very Pulpy Car

Via BoingBoing, the Phantom Corsair.

(more photos by following the two links!)

It's a 1930s Batmobile... or a staff car from some dark-but-stylish Evil Regime... or Our Hero's car as he dashes around the Dark and Dangerous City...

Somebody make this in 1/56th, please?

Thank you for posting this , I saw A short film on this car a couple of years back and could'nt remember the car's name. I think it was the pop.science short mentioned in the wicapedia link I seem to recall the interior being quite impressive and advanced for 1938 too ! There might be a modelout there but I doubt it's in 1/56 :'( :'(but we can always hope

Brooklyn Models and Hot Wheels made a 1/43 model, but I believe they are OOP.  eBay might be the place to look, but both are fairly rare.
They were all drawn to the Keep; the soldiers who brought death; the father and daughter fighting for life; the people who have always feared it; and the one man who knows its secret....

Oh, my, my...  :-*

Can't you just see The Man of Copper and his faithful assistant/chaufer Ranjit Singh leaping out of that little beauty to take on the scum of Waterfall City?

Cos I can.

Too many pain meds today.  lol
