The Great Big Modern Wargaming Rules Comparison
« on: November 21, 2016, 12:17:07 AM »

After seeing 101 posts on the Modern Miniature Warfare group on Facebook asking "What rules should I play?" I decided to write an article to help answer it.... and then this happened.

It was an interesting read, thank you for sharing!

I would like to add only one suggestion for making this overview a bit more comprehensive.
It would be great if you added information about presence or absence of campaign and experience system in rules mentioned.

Thanks everyone.

@Nimrod
It looks like I'll be making a Part 2 to add a few little bits to the overview. I'll add that information to it

Very useful article -- thanks for posting it! I hope within six months or so to add my own modern Africa rules set to that stack... lol

I've added a new appendix to the comparison, now covering campaign rules and scenarios

Nice work, very useful for newcomers! But I was slightly disappointed to see you only covered 'skirmish' games!

Must admit, this is down to mainly playing games at 28mm and anything above skirmish would require more figures than I own

There is a rules review repository at Extra Crispy's site that includes larger scales.
He covers many periods but is a frequent poster on the GHQ (6mm) Models forum, and definitely does large scale moderns.
