I would be interested in hearing how the game plays. I watched a few Beasts of War videos, but they didn't explain the mechanics very well.

Warcradle are releasing V2 of these rules, and have somewhat retconned the background to fit the new release. All items (barring models) are available as free downloads from Warcradle Studios, with the current rules in Beta.

The game does play differently, no multiple wounds, more streamlined (I wouldn't say less) special rules and a rejigged force building set up that allowed for multiple factions on the same side - fluff considerations are up to players.

Must admit I did not really get along wit V1 of these rules, but V2 are (IMHO) much better. The use of action cards for units, and the interactions of models on the table provides many strategic options.
Beasts of War have a version 2 'Lets Play' (Enlightened v Union) on their site if you want a feel for the new rules.

Just started to buy into this game after seeing the demo's at the Battleground show.

Got the Red Oak starter set and a few others so far now.

Started to put the Holy Order Spica figures together. Some really nice poses on these.

Looking forward to getting some of the Watcher models.

They're 35mm, so even more singling themselves out.  :(
