Greetings one and all!
« on: February 16, 2009, 12:33:31 PM »
Greetings to you all,
this is probably a familiar tale - but as a long time lurker I've finaly decided to join in the fun. I have to say that from what I've seen over the last couple of years this is the most friendly and pleasant place to be among the forums on the net.

I've been playing with toy soldiers for as long as I can remember and gaming "properly" for the last 30 or so in most periods and scales. My current "active" collections are;
Fictional C18th - 15mm
Horse & Musket - 6mm
Colonial - 15mm
ACW - 28mm
Warlord China - 28mm
Darkest Africa - 28mm
WWII - 6mm(early), 20mm(late)

I also dabble in Naval, (napoleonic & WWII) and Air games, (WWI & WWII) as well as Fantasy and Sci Fi.

I'm also currently looking into Weird War Two using Orks & Imp. Guard form GW! I've already built an Armoured Train for the Orks.

Looking forward to joining the fun.

Hello Lt.
Sorry no pics of anything yet - havn't got a camera at the moment.
When I get myself organised I'll bombard you with pics of my collections - then you'll be sorry you asked!

The Ork train is based on '20's/'30's Polish/Russian types - with a forward artillery car based on that used by the Polish train "Smially", an armoured diesel shunter followed by a rear artillery car based on the Russian "Khunkhuz" type. I still need to add an infantry assault car and a flat car at each end. Problem is it's 2' long now and my table is only 5'!!

ps. spellings above may not be totaly accurate!
