Some more metal mastercastings for some fighting smurfs with makeshift weapons. These can serve as rebel smurfs in the Smurf King conflict or as "good" (regular) smurfs in the Grey Smurf menace. These are armed with a wooden sword and shield, a wooden hammer and a broom.

They are to be used with the shouting heads from the bottom row shown earlier, though of course, some of the other heads (sad head, surprised head) might also work.

No proper (spear and shield armed) grey smurf bodies in this batch yet, but we do have the first few "angry smurf" heads that will work for them (and for Grouchy of course). It's a bit hard to see, but they are showing their teeth and have angry eyebrow action going:

All update on the blog too of course:

Last batch of mastercastings for now, this time of some uninfected smurfs to fight back against the black/smurf purple smurf plague with the antidote that Papa Smurf came up with.

Here we have a male smurf body and a smurfette body with the antidote. Some of the heads to be used with these were shown here.

The angry heads from the previous post, destined to be used for Grey Smurfs can also double up as black/purple smurf variants. Here is an example of the "grey" Papa Smurf head on a new black smurf body variant, which will work just fine with the right paintjob.

Years ago there was a Kinder-egg series of Smurfs which were QUITE nice. They were probably about 40mm once built. I wonder how difficult or expensive they'd be to come by today...

EDIT: Hm, not TOO much. couple dollars apiece. Seems like there's been many series too.

A CANADIAN local hobby store with a small selection of historical wargames miniatures (mainly from Warlords). They also have a great selection of paint and hobby accessories from Vallejo, Army painter, AK Interactive, Green Stuff World and more.; https://www.kingdomtitans.ca/us/

Great to see the project romping along. Good idea doing the heads as separate options.

So many ideas.
I was just discussing this weekend that it would be cool to play a wild west game in Lucky Lucke style.

This'll work too though.

Smurfin' smurftastic!

I remember peeps playing Space Hulk-like games with black smurf versus 'survivors' back in the early 90's. Second-hand prices on the then OOP official toys sky-rocketed for a while  lol

Which is wonderful, of course.
