Brilliant stuff! I love the use of the Gundam hanger!  :-* The colour makes me think of the inside of Red Dwarf! How is that done? Stippled? Sponged?

Many thanks gents! :)

@suber: great to hear about your discovery, do we get to see it soon here on LAF?

@Andym: those hangers are quite useful, had to order few more for maintenance area tile. Colouring on the wall is just two colours stippled, well spotted :)

Well managed to almost (missed few spots, then possibly will add yellow line markings on the floor later on) complete the second tile.

- So kid, since you're a new face here, let me tell you about the GIRD shaft..
- Gird, shaft, what...?
- Gas-like Ion Rod Disposal shaft. The used GI rods are dumped into that shaft by the GIO team. As long as those yellow lights don't start flashing, we are good to go up here.
- But, but, somebody has cut the wiring!?
- Like I told you kid, as long as those yellow lights don't start flashing, we are good to go up here.

Those trolleys (still to be painted) are shown with used GI rods in picture above. Next pic shows currently not functioning warning system:

And here's a shot of two tiles together. Still 14 more to do!  o_o

Feedback and ideas welcome as ever! Cheers for looking.

That second tile is excellent. Love the yellow paint on the SW droid too: really looks the part of a maintenance droid.

Thank you again gents, much appreciated :)

No post without small progress, this time it's in the form of the painted buggy. Yellow colour was obvious choice for it. Few scratches/dents here and there and even though it doesn't show that well in the pic, faux leather chair for the comfortable ride :)

Now the buggy needs just a name  ???

Then I have been pondering on what kind of tiles I will still need to make:

- generator tile 500mm x 250mm
- dizzy cap tile 250mm x 250mm
- robot charging station tile 250mm x 250mm
- maintenance facilities tile 500mm x 250mm

Those above plus the two finished ones gives me just the half of what I need so I need to still come up with plenty of new ideas. Most likely there will be few more directly engine room related tiles but what else could be done?

And on another note, I ordered some led thingies through eBay and paid about 5 euros for them, delivered... lets see if I can use them with the terrain in some way.

I reckon it should be called a Poco-Motive.

Awesome work in every picture. I love the GRID structure. And that buggy is perfect.
Are the GI rods parts from the Starship Troopers Stalward Bug Fences?

Wowzers, many thanks for the comments  :)

Glad to see that you like the "buggy" as much as I do myself :D

I think it will be called po-mo (short for poco-motive, thanks Paul ;) ). As it is, pomo means boss in Finnish so you can ride like a boss with that inside the engine room  lol

- So kid, you've seen the GIRD shaft, that's where the GI rods go, right?
- Right.
- Good, let me now introduce you to dude.
- Dude? Where is he?
- Not he, kid. It.
- It?
- Yes, it. The dee-double u-dee aka the Dude aka Direct Waste Disposal. Any other waste, besides those GI rods and the personal waste you produce in the loo, goes into the DWD. If it burns, it goes into the DWD. We don't have to worry about waste management, we have the bots for that but nobody is going to reprimand you if you pick up some waste and toss it in. Got it?
- Got it.
- Good, you seem to be a fast learner kid.

Painting will follow hopefully tomorrow.

Comments and ideas still welcome, cheers for looking.
