As for "Bad" well its a basic rule set for what you get in the box. But no rules for noise, and rolling 10 dice each time i shoot a smg or wave a chainsaw around is alot of rolling. Ammo rules suck too.

But its not about that for me... its the following feeling and just my own personal feeling

Warlord for me means quality products, full colour rules in hardback form with detail and love within those`s pages.   I have K47, bolt action and GOA all lovely  books to own, read and enjoy. Then came Project Z and then soon Test of Honour, which is different in more detail than Z.

Then of course you have Doctor who... A bbc game that warlord are making. Again i feel its not going to be a hardback full colour book with the history of DW but a simple  game also.time will tell of course.

It reminds me of the old days when GW when they had there core solid products and then those little games like lost patrol and battlefleet which you rolled in the box lid.  I just want Warlord to keep making solid, lovely and supported game systems... as i do seem to love them.....

Warlord Games Article

There are two new pictures in this article, showing some of the figures. One shows four Samurai. They look like the WGF bodies with new heads and one completely different model that is propably metal. Maybe those come from the recut frames.

On the facebook group they state that new metals are being made. Maybe its to supplement their range for Pike and Shotte so they can release a new campaign book ?

Sounds interesting
Ronin hasn't grabbed me
Maybe this will and I'll get more samurai painted!

Daisho (rules) and metal (figures): enough :-*  lol

I don't feel the need of a new skirmish game, Daisho (Ronin too) got everything I need: "chambara" style games, historical, fantasy and a mix of the two, scenarios with a several different set-ups and complications, a lot of characters, ecc...
Daisho basically is IHMN game system but well taylored for "Nippon", as Blood Eagle for vikings/dark ages.
We even play it multiplayer and campaign system with no efforts.

Perry, Northstar, Bushido and all the other "metal" manufacturers are very very very nice I got about 100pieces.
I had the old WGF (now Warlods) samurai: a pain to assemble and not that great. I traded them for something else.

Nothing against Warlords, I often buy from them WW2 and ancients mostly, but personally (my humble opinion) for next oriental batch of figures I'll wait for next CMON KS game: Rising star.
Ciao

PS: About the free PDF, free... the demo. Full rules with cards and dices are not free.

Got to play the game last week at Warlord here's a nice battle report.

http://tabletopgamesuk.co.uk/2017/03/10/test-of-honour-batter-report/

Although its small ish scale you could up the size of the game with ease and even run multiple players.

I played five games of ToH with my existing 28mm feudal Japanese figs this weekend.

The game is a lot of fun and I will definitely be playing it a lot more.

The photos and blog post are here for anyone interested.

As this is bordering on a double post (I put photos in the thread where I record the development of my samurai forces)  I wont put too much more here.
