That's a great build! Is it maybe worth putting a frame around the cockpit doors? It means they wouldn't look raised off of the hull.

With the doors I did try cutting cutting out a rectangular hole for them to fit neatly into however the main body started to buckle in a worrying manner. But yes I'll most likely follow your advice if I get the time!

I believe you are only meant to show photos of it primed on your thread, but can send a painted photo/collage of images of it painted to the email that I think Jim has popped on the rules thread?

Well yes one should just look at the rules thread.

I ask because I know there just won't be time to paint this thing up. It'll have to go in undercoated and that's that.

Could you not get an acrylic spray paint? Just spray it a solid colour then give it a quick dark wash? Then if you found you had time, give a quick, light drybrush? I'd love to see it painted!

Well I do want to have it painted up, don't get me wrong. But I'd start adding exhaust marks and worn paint with metal showing through, then I'd have to start stencilling numbers onto it.

I'll see if I can get to it, as I would love to enter it painted and proper.

Here we go, undercoated and ready for painting after a bit of cleaning up. Hope I can get her done.

Oh yes, added the engine exhausts from a jet fighter kit and the tips of missiles for the front of the engine blades.

'Angels Sanguinus' which is a totally original chapter you understand. Besides red ones go faster!

You'll all be pleased to know I've practically given up smoking. Did have a few last night during a 21st birthday party but they were pretty manky.

The fag flyer (which I now refer to as the scratch hawk) had a bit of an accident during the move to a new property. Stood on it didn't I? Much like it's background though where I said it could be strapped/weldeld back together after every crash well, that pretty much turned out to be the case! Looks almost brand new once more. Almost.

Figured I'd put up the rest of the pictures of it here for those that want to see 'em. Also really love all the entries to the competition. It was a bit tricky for me to cast my votes.
