They look suitably disgusting, as zombies should do. Impressive work.

Almost completed Rick but got a bit overzealous with the weathering.  I need to do some clean up then a once over before I, "call it done" but I'm very close.  I probably should have gone for a cleaner, fresher looking Rick but all my TWD knowledge base comes from the show and my favorite Rick is season 4 or 5 so I wanted him at least a little rough around the edges.  I blew the lighting by bouncing it rather than reflecting but for good or bad I like where he is.  I'm surprised by the quality of the models.  I painted the walkers fairly quickly and didn't play around too much but the detail on Rick is outstanding for a one shot plastic cast.  Painting him was enjoyable compared to the look of the CMON Sons of Ragnorak (The Others).  I ordered some of those because the renders looked pretty awesome for PA or Zombie fun but the plastics make me wince just looking at their lumpen features.  Once I get him and the other survivors completed I'll post up again.

The survivors are completed so the contents of my TWD core set are good to go  :) .  Here are some quick photos.  Additional pictures and commentary and available on my blog.

Excellent job. Love the muted colours and cohesive paintjobs (they will really mix well on the table and look like they belong together). Your thread is one of the reasons I ordered a copy of the game yesterday ;)

@Malebolgia

I appreciate every comment I get.  The ones that open dialogue are typically my favorites but comments like yours are one of the reasons I should post more threads.  Thank you.

I went and read the boring commentary   ;D ;D and realized I'd been there before.

Nice blog, and nice minis!  Always fun to watch others' projects unfold.

I just completed the next phase of the project.  I made a terrain board copy of the paper game mat that came with the core set.  Here are a couple shots including some disastrous ones where I am considering using the magic of green screens to embellish my photos (I better work on nice scenes and images before I go ahead  :( but I was just looking for something to throw on the editor for now to practice).  Once I get things organized I will post better pics and and more detailed write up on my blog.  I would like to do up a proper article to stay on target with one of my New Years resolutions but making barricades and painting them along with some vehicles would be more fun  :).

Woah, that street is fantastic. Very convincing with the cracks and added details.
My game arrived Tuesday by the way, tonight the first game 8)

I am going to make a portable board with the maps, like this:

For a 3D board I now have my Games and Gears boards... But I will probably be making a 3D board from an Ikea Lack table.
