Amazing!

The six pack on the cooler really puts it over the top.  Love, love, love it!

Damn you Horridperson!!!!!

Now I had to go and order some TWD stuff as Christmas present for myself! I never followed the series but zombie bashing is becoming an interest of mine lately  :D. I have heard that the game is pretty good so looking forward getting the goodies and painting it up.

Just a question, that helicopter on page 11, what model is it??? I've been thinking of getting one for 'modern' gaming in general.

@Legionnnaire

 The helo is a Eurocopter diecast I got at a Toys R Us a year or two ago.  If I remember right it was on sale for $12CDN .

Well I haven't been here in a while.  Between then and now I've finished the TWD collection I have up to this point.  Right now it's all down to conversions and repurposing some models I thought fit with the aesthetic.  Add the Black Scorpion Marines to the list.  Unfortunately these figures are out of production.  They are some nice looking and characterful models but I suspect they didn't go over well because their heroic proportions don't fit with any other modern combat ranges which tend toward realism.  I painted them in an approximation of UCP trying to match the National Guard soldiers I saw on the TWD and FTWD shows.  I think they would be an excellent springboard for some DIY scenarios based on the post outbreak events in Fear.  It's a shame I'm unlikely to get my paws on some more of these but I really like the ones I have just the same.

Very nice.

Are they metal or resin?

Great addition. They will be very useful on custom scenarios

@Ultravanillasmurf :  These guys are resin.  I'm not sure they were cast in metal like some of the longer lasting ranges (Cutlass and Tombstone were both cast in metal then switched to resin).

@Treebird  Yeah, I think they have a lot of potential for some story driven games.

I've been in a bit of a lull proceeding with the project due to supply and budget issues but things have come round and we are back at it.  Walktober has been a productive month indeed!  I'm playing a bit of catch up with the release schedule or maybe I'm just moving at my own pace but, whatever the case it's a go!  I've been working on figures from the Made to Suffer portion of the range as well as working at some stragglers from the prison.

The first group of nine pictured above were a return to a project that I really enjoyed but some of my workhorse brushes were starting to show their age.  By the time I got at this next group I'd found some suitable replacements and don't have ratty crushes as an excuse for shoddy paintwork.  To be fair it had been a while since I'd approached TWD figures so it was probably more on me than my tools but the confidence that came with returning to a beloved project and getting things done along with flashy new kit made this next group a lot fun.  I think that's reflected in the figures.

Nice painting (and both sets). And I need to a Rosita... just because.

Thanks for checking out the new adds to the thread.

@von Lucky  I agree!  The 5th wave models are all looking pretty sharp.  I just sent out an order for Rosita and Eugene along with the Hunters and a Made to Suffer Tyreese.  Rosita should be fun to paint but I'm probably looking forward to Eugene little more.  The model is a characterful sculpt and thought they brought some Josh McDermitt to him as well as the comic character.  Could be a while before I get to paint them though.  It's likely a postal strike is happening.

Excellent paint jobs on all of these, HP. Rosita is definitely a must have figure.   :-*
