Excellent work
I found it really interesting following this thread because you designed some great miniatures I expect your second set will totally surpass the first attempts.
I well know the process of despair you have gone through but with a critical eye and a desire for perfection like you have you will definitely produce excellent miniatures and develop the skill of a top sculptor,

OK...OK...OK  I know I am being an equine version of a button counter, but I have a couple of comments on this sculpt (which really IS gorgeous).  First, maybe it is the angle of the photo, but it looks as if the horse's ears are on backwards.  Even allowing for a horse's "listening ear", it seems like an odd angle.  Second, and again maybe it is the photo, but it appears that the headstall lacks a strap over the poll of the horse (that area behind the ears and at the apex of the neck).  Without that, a bridle will simply slip off a horse's head.

I will now continue with my critical analysis of proper length of the fringe on the figure's shirt..... ;D

Just read this whole thread and can see that this has been a long learning process for you but you seem to have learned alot.I hope you don't give up on these as I think it will be great for someone to do tribe specific, especially Crows and Pawnees.Count me in as a customer when you start selling these.Maybe in a couple years you will be doing something like this. :o :-* ;D :D

I hope your wrong about your observations as I just ordered this this morning. :o ;) Here's a couple of shots of the painted version.

Actually, I think he’s right - but a lovely figure (beautifully painted) nonetheless

I'm sure that missing strap can be fixed with a bit of greenstuff.

Thank you mate! These words mean a lot to me coming from a professional like you  :) :) :)

Okay, lets get back to our regular programming...

clearco, how are things coming along?

I'm not sculpting that much at the moment because I thought I had earned a little pause (and because I hadn't any vacations this summer :/), so I'm focusing on pimping up my reenactment stuff on my free time  ;) I plan to go back at regularly sculpting by October though :-)

Besides the caster had hollidays on August so he is beginning with the castings these days. I'll keep you informed as soon as I become more news from him :)

Hi!
At least I have some news! The castings of the armatures and pieces I sculpted have finally arrived!!
Here they are:

I HAD to start sculpting again right away  ;)

P.S. The heads are only temporally attached with blue-tack, that's why they don't sit so seamless ;)
