Excellent Pawnee  :-*

They certainly are!  ;D

Are you going to invest in them?

Love the painting guide, that’s a very nice touch.
I’m holding off ordering these as I really want them mounted as well. Are you likely to do the mounted versions?

I ordered some earlier this week and Juan shipped very quickly. I agree I’d like mounted versions but Juan has worked hard to produce an innovative selection of figures; let’s support him and reward his creativity now.

Likewise, I’ve emailed Juan - we can always find reasons to put off an order but he deserves some support now to stay motivated and recognise the huge amount of work he’s done on these already

Hi people! Thank you a lot for the kind words (and orders  ;)) and sorry for the delay answering, I have been ill for a couple of days.

The third Pawnee set is almost ready, I have only to retouch one spear and they will be done (I only keep forgetting taking photos of it). Then I have to do three figures more and a couple of accesoires and that would be the Pawnee :)
I have taken a couple of weeks break of sculpting Plains Indians because I need my mojo to grow back a bit and let my mind wander a bit between subjects like a good wargamer, but then I'll be at it again ;)

Regarding the mounted versions, I will definitely make them, but it could take a while: I still have to sculpt the horses and the ones I had started are nowhere to be found. Moreover, I realised I have to sculpt the riders from scratch instead of making conversions of the foot versions because they would be too thin if I would do that (a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy ends beeing rather thin) and that means extra time. I'll get there but I cannot say when yet.

:)

Okay, I must be a dufus. I went to order the Pawnee sets 1 thru 3 and couldn't figure out how to order. Duh.

Hi!
The Pawnee haven't been released yet, I'm still finishing them  ;)

If you are interested in the Crow, here you can see how to order them:

Well, my crow are here, on bases, glued up and undercoated. I’ve gone for a dark brown undercoat as there’s a lot of neutral shades on the way. I have to say that these lads are almost violently animated. My Foundry Blackfoot seem to be waiting at a pedestrian crossing by comparison. These Crow are either stalking forward with intent or piling in. One is leaning forward as he runs and it’s as if his war club is frozen in mid whirl. Another looks as if he’s just ducked a bullet and I don’t give good odds on the shooter if he’s out of bullets....

I'm very glad they arrived and even glader that you like them :) My goal was precisely that: to show movement so you can easily picture them on the battlefield, running, creeping, attacking ;)

I have finished a bunch more btw: a third pack of Pawnee with "character" :)

All together in a crappy photo:

More to come!
