24 (beep beep beep beep)
« on: February 22, 2009, 10:28:27 AM »
Okay, I'd forgotten how good this show was and was wondering if there were many miniatures of 28mm modern agents in undercover clothes and such. I have been on a bit of a search and found some interesting insurgents, but nothing to really represent the staff from CTU.

Anyone got any suggestions? Anyone played a similar setting?

I would probably use Chain Reaction 2.0 for lack of any other rules, so some suggestion for that would be great too!

Thanks guys!

West Wind do a pack that could be suitable.

Other than that, for more casually dressed detectives, try some of the Modern Adventurers from Hasslefree:

On the rules count, Chain Reaction 3.0 is coming out soon and will be a free game.  Should be perfect for a modern shootout.  :)

No need for cursing to get our attention, young man!

May I suggest the Wargames Foundry "Street Violence" range? There´s a number of agents in civvies (okay, mainly suits) which might be suitable.

Sorry I'll keep my torrents of abuse to my self then  lol

Some of those ranges are quite cool. I noticed that Hasslefree have put out a range based on Hot Fuzz too! Another favorite of mine.

Didn't know CR3 was coming out... can't wait!

Thanks for the help so far! When I find the perfect Jack Bauer I'll put him up :D

Give him another haircut, and Ken from Hasslefree should fit the bill (especially the small arms version):

Besides, cool idea!  :D

Artizan got a good selection in their Kiss Kiss bang bang range, but I think Hasselfree looks the closest and maybe a head swop may work.
I've been told that I am an all round nice guy, well, that what he said before I shot him

just had a look at Hasslefree, and their figures are 40mm, so they are much larger than the Copperfield/Artizan stuff, no chance of swopping heads or any other bits!

Sorry (or happy) to correct you, but the Hasslefree stuff is mainly 28mm (if a bit on the smaller side).
Only a few models like the Greek goddess are 40mm and bigger in scale. Ken for example is definately 28mm.

I am happy to be corrected!

Thought there were only 2 scales in the Hasslefree range 40mm & 54mm. Pleased to know that, lots of eye candy in the bigger scale :o :o :o

I bought the Shaun (of the Dead) model and was a bit dissapointed in how small he actually was! I wonder what Ken is like? Anyone got pics of this mini painted?

Hasslefree minis are quite fine, not chunky.

Here is my painted Ken:
