Here is my T26, built from the Rubicon kit.

It is a very nice kit, and can build ten different versions.

This is the last variant, the 1939. It has improved armour and carries more ammunition (by deleting the rear machine gun from the turret).

Nifty. That’s a great little model. Good old Rubicon  ;)

Nice, but you do make it difficult to follow you with no mechanism on your blog as far as I can tell. I'm looking forward to what you do with the KV1/2
Wargaming since the dark ages...

Nice, I have the same t26 version in 1/72 in a batch of armour I was scheduled to airbrush last weekend, the nozzle on my airbrush got clogged, had to order a new one, so will be painting in the weekend hopefully.

I needed a Warlord Chi-Ha as an opponent for the Rubicon T-26 1939 for use in What A Tanker! I picked one up from Dark Sphere in London.

There was some flash on one of the sprues.

The kit went together okay, though the absence of part numbers on the sprues was a bit annoying.

The non duplication of the the commander's cupola and the turret machine gun are the only components that prevent the assembly of both the original Ch-Ha and the larger ShinHoTo turret with the 47mm AT gun. At some point I might try and build a second cupola.

As this is to be an opponent for the T-26 1939 for games of What A Tanker!, it was built with the large turret (when I get round to building a T-26 1932 I will need an original Chi-Ha).

Most examples appear to have been painted into the three colour camouflage, however I went for a plain green paint job.

I added the flower logo as otherwise the only marking was the Japanese numeral one on the hull side.

Facing off against the T-26.

That's come up nicely. I do like the flower decal.

Though I confess after doing early  war German, Soviets and Allied late war - the idea of a colour scheme with more than one colour is actually very appealing, and the Japanese one is very colourful and attractive.

Looks good! That seems to be quite a decent model.

Thanks.

It is a very nice kit. There are none of the problems associated with some of the other Warlord kits I have built (and have not finished).
Sprue photographs here http://ultravanillasmurf.blogspot.com/2019/06/warlord-games-type-97-tank.html

This was something I wanted to complete quickly, the tarpaulin was not needed, but I thought would make it slightly different.

On the subject of complicated paint jobs, I have a line of late war German AFVs, not limited to Konigtiger,
Panzer IV (see above), Waffentragerr, Jpzr 38(t), P43 bis which I have started and not finished.

So the Tiger II is now "done":

Except for washing under the nose and the tow ring hull extensions.

Nicely painted but sheesh that zimmerit is poor. Did Warlord think German tanks were wood panelled?
