"Gravedigger/Grave-robber"....
« on: January 26, 2017, 10:43:03 PM »
It's been a while since I did any posting and any "backstories". I've been busy painting, and had forgotten I actually had an account here!!!
So I'm posting up some recent stuff....along with some "backstories"...
All comments appreciated.
Thanks and Enjoy!

Reaper Bones Gravedigger

"Solomon Vincent held the skull lantern up, as his hand tightened around the graves-spade. He peered through the darkness of the night and onto the scrawling inscribed upon the cheap gravestone.
The pale light of the lantern lit up the words…."Baby Elizabeth"… A small bundle of purple flowers had been placed on the grave mound. He sniffed in disdain at the thought that someone had actually cared enough to place flowers on the grave mound of this brat.
Yes…"Baby Elizabeth" he said to himself…
He smiled in grim satisfaction. Yes, here was the brat that was born more dead than alive, and finished dying soon after her mother, The Duchess, pushed her out in hard, labor."
He thought to himself as he peered around the grave. "The Duchess's whoring on her husband with the stable-boy had caused this problem. I'm simply here to make sure that I can get something out of it."
He looked around once again at the paupers row where the un-blessed, convicts, criminals, and heathens were buried; all without the final prayer to send their souls to rest.
"Nevertheless." He said to himself. "The Duchess is in seclusion, "resting" from a premature agonizing birth. Her husband, The Duke has taken charge of everything now that he is wise to the situation and if I am right, the stable-boy's beaten, headless, hand-less, and footless body should be washing out to sea right about now, and I can take the bones and flesh of this unbaptized brat and sell it to the gypsies for a good price. Everyone knows that gypsies and witches can make powerful magic with the remains of a small, dead and damned child."
Satisfied at his own spoken self reasoning for what he was about to do, he smiled to himself once more as the image of the purse of gold and silver coins filled his head and what he could do with that money; he eagerly plunged the spade firmly into the rich black-brownish grave-soil and began digging…."

Nice job on the figure, pretty gruesome backstory - love it.
