Hi all
As commented by many above there’s been some brilliant stuff so far on this thread (with particular thanks to Arthur) although re-reading it all I’m concious we’ve got very focussed on the role/tactics of the Foot.
Does anybody have links/thoughts etc on the role/tactics/appearance of Horse at the various stages of the war? So far consensus is that the more clearly defined roles merged from circa mid 1630’s onward onlingside a trend to discard Cuirassier armour. (All this very much concurs with how Horse conducted themselves in the ECW in the 1640’s). Has anyone any more on this or on other cavalry such as Croats etc?
The “tactics” part particularly intrigues me!
(That said, don’t stop with adding more re the Foot !)
