That would be my fault as I haven't put a mold on her just yet. :(

How do these scale with Hinterland Miniatures' stuff?

Ever since I first laid eyes on these brilliant figures, I really looked forward to backing this Kickstarter. They are superb! Very characterful. :-* Great period flavor! But now that the Kickstarter is live. I'm not so sure I can afford to join it.
I have a large collection of Hinterland figures, and they are just as nice and sometimes half the price.
I am a dyed in the wool TSATF fan and collect units of twelve mounted and twenty foot. Unless there are some amazing goal rewards that bring the price per figure down considerably, I must regretfully pass. :'(

I wish you the best of luck as these figures really should see production.

Hi Froggy,

I will post an image tomorrow after work regarding scale but Hinterland is smaller by about 3mm I believe.

 Hi Folks,

This is a comparison between the current range with Foundry on the left and Hinterland on the right. If you asked me honestly if they played well together I would say Hinterland was smallish and Foundry a perfect match.

Love the 'mounted' figures (that doesn't sound right  :))...but at US$28 for two then add shipping is way out of my price range per figure...

So Have I misunderstood the pricing from TMP...

"The Range was intentionally broken down into packs of basically equal value. A Pack is five infantry, two cavalry or the command pack which is actually three foot PLUS the general. There is also the gun crew of four foot and the gun itself. Every three packs you buy actually knocks one dollar off the price of all the packs you buy, so three packs would actually cost twenty seven dollars each instead of twenty eight."

Lovely miniatures!

The concepts and execution are solid with very nice sculpts.

Wishing you luck with your Kickstarter.

Love VSF stuff and will have to think this one over carefully.

$250 is a big chunk of change to save $15. Just saying.

$250 is a big chunk of change to save $15. Just saying.

To be fair if you purchased 10 packs at $25 ($250) instead of $28 dollars you would save $30 and not $15. Your also right it's time to sweeten the pot a little..

I am going to have six stretch goals at this time but since the art isn't ready here is a brief outline.

A mechanical mule for  the artillery to include stacked rifles and stacked packs. Randomly shell your opponents in style! Almost done as we type!

Chatty Cathy, A Victorian style Reporter based loosely off of the Famous Nelly Bly.

Curious Kate, A Victorian Photographer with her Kodak camera trying to get a snap of the Dinosaurs on Venus before they snap her.

Gurty Gun, An American Gunslinger from Toledo who doesn't plan to take any guff from anybody. Some say she smokes!

Poor Penny, A London orphan and the first child stowaway to another planet! Her plucky stories of survival in the orphanage will leave you brimming with overconfidence, which can be dangerous on Venus with dinosaurs and cannibals running around.

Retro Ray guns, Replace the slap with a ZAPP! The infantry pieces are sculpted with their hands and rifles as a separate piece which plug in nicely. This add one will convert the Ladies to a more modern feel for the more popular Sci-fi games.

Dave Soderquist the lead Sculptor for this campaign has committed to these and their concepts are complete. I see for every one hundred dollars donated one will be free with the others being available as add-ons.

I also plan some relief on postage and handling based on the size of the order. My first thoughts are to simply split postage after 100 dollars or four packs with the backer. Crowdfunding campaigns have to be careful of postage costs with the chunk Kickstarter grabs but in the end my goal is to make these as affordable as I can.

Thanks again for the awesome support, these minis actually made it into Wargames Illustrated scout page!!

I assume you will have some sort of minimum buy to get the stretch goals.

They could also be add-ons at a reduced price given you plunk down so much in your pledge.

Or both.

Any general feeling of how you plan to do this?
