Triumph of Death: Death plays the Hurdy Gurdy
« on: February 11, 2017, 05:50:57 PM »
This is the first of my musicians for my upcoming Triumph of Death line up of miniatures. The hurdy gurdy was a popular instrument in several European regions throughout the Renaissance, and when well played is amazing to hear. When not played well its musical timbre has been likened to two cats fighting in a bag full of rosin. There are many historical references of the hurdy gurdy in woodblock prints featuring death, so needless to say, it had to be in my range!
If you've never heard the hurdy gurdy played, Guilhem Desq is an amazing intro.

For more pictures, and a cautionary tale about putting your eye out with pike armed troops, shamble over to my blog

I look forward to your feedback!

I've stabbed myself with those steel pikes/spears a few times, fortunately only ever in the fingers.
Love this latest addition to the lineup, looking forward to the release :)

I'm looking forward to getting my hands on some of these figures.  I've been wanting to do a Death army for AoS and while I like the GW skeletons I like these more.

Pictors- big fan of your work! Would love to see what you could do with my new designs. If you please, what is AoS?
