Something a little different this week - as a break from painting I've delved deep into the depths of Spectre Miniatures instagram (as well as some other previews) to see some figures that may be coming soon.

As always, it's on the blog at http://hntdaab.co.uk/blog/2017/10/06/spectre-miniatures-unreleased-models/

This week's post is up, looking at some figures from Tiny Terrain

It's on the blog at http://hntdaab.co.uk/blog/2017/10/13/initial-impressions-tiny-terrains-figures/

Don't worry, next week I'll be back with painted figures

Thanks for the review.
I like the figures and how they are posed.
I don't want figures that look as they are all running around like bats out of hell. ;D
I also like to purchase figures from small companies to  encourage them to make more.
I have found some real gems out there.
The great thing now, there are so many figure companies, we should all find what we want.

I do Wargaming Week every monday as a bit of an update as to what I've been doing every week. I don't post it hear as a fair number of them end up being summed up as "not much"

This week, I've announced what I'm doing for Part 2 and Part 3 of the Great Big Modern Wargaming Rules comparison article

Part Two is going to cover:
Fireteam Modern
FUBAR
No End In Sight
Wars of Insurgency
Winter of ’79

Part Three will look at:
Flying Lead conversion
Bolt Action Modern (in its various versions)
Combat Patrol for modern day
Chain of Command (with some tweaks)

The full post has some more information including when they are being released http://hntdaab.co.uk/blog/2017/10/16/wargaming-week-16102017/

News and a preview of Friday's post!

Newly released from Radio Dishdash, and just in time for Halloween, we have a new free scenario that will see you in the mountains of Afghanistan fighting... werewolves!

The scenario can be found at http://www.skirmishsangin.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/Free_scenario_werewolf2.pdf. Have fun!

This Friday's post will play the scenario, and luckily I just finished painting the models for it

Today's post is now up! SAS vs Werewolves. Even better, two reports for the price of one!

As always its on the blog at http://hntdaab.co.uk/blog/2017/10/27/battle-report-home-of-the-wolf-skirmish-sangin/

Semi related news - if you are going to Fiasco at Leeds this Sunday I'll be there with Operation Dragon's Hoard. Come along and try to secure the crash site. Map below

GREAT AAR, thank you!!!  :-*

I've just shown your blog's post to a friend we want to plunge into Modern Ops Games; he has the same "been there, done that, got the scars" PTSD-game-syndrome I used to, but when he saw the werewolves and the action pictures, he just said: "Let's do that, NOW!"   lol

Thanks to everyone who dropped in to say hello at Fiasco! Had a really great time running the game, lots of good comments on the setup and I'm coming away with lots of ideas to improve it.

More details in the post on Friday along with future plans
