I had the pleasure of being in charge of the insurgents and I'd agree that the Aden player was a bit keen to get into action which I actually took into account when I placed the car as I know his personality 😁.  The fact they had rules of engagement frustrated him immensely but gives a very different style of gaming experience for both sides.  There was a real sense of tension when the insurgents did ... nothing...  Tumbleweed blew by as the Aden troops moved forward.

Brilliant.  Just brilliant.

I love Napoleonic games but Skirmish Sangin is really something else.  I just wish my recoiless rifle hadn't gone right through the first humvee but the bomb maker did get away....

Great battle report! One thing I love about modern gaming the objectives tend to be fluid, if you take heavy casualties then you regroup and fall back unlike other games where people just fight until they rout.

Always interesting to hear (the other) player's view.

It's Monday so once again it's time for Wargaming Week. And once again I'm writing tons of words about new releases from Spectre because the other usual suspects haven't released anything for a while :|

Another interesting article.

You are right about the Spectre website. Much improved.

On the MDF front, I have just used some Rustoleum Rust textured paint to provide some texture for my Woodbury houses.

Interesting read.

Nice stowage.

The Foxhound is a nice vehicle, I hope Evil Bear in its new incarnation will make some more (other Foxhounds are available).

Yeah I love the design - I'm also a fan of the WMIK version he previewed in his facebook page in render form

A nice write up in usual form, also quite liked the battle report, had me look back at some of your old ones too. Always gets one in the mood to want to throw dice and figures around.

Glad you liked it! People do seem to really like the battle reports - a real shame I haven't managed to play as much as I'd want to this year. Fingers crossed I can get a few more games in before the year ends.
