Sigh. I was unable to get my Round 7 entry done in time. So, I had to dig out some previously painted figs for Rounds 7 and 8, because I am going out of town for more than a week starting Monday morning. I tried to give them my usual show in staging, so hope you enjoy them...!

Hopefully, I will be back on track for the final two rounds...

I am a little confused... the teams have to be newly painted and not previously shown in any way or form, right?

If you want the bonus points, yes. You can enter figures that you have shown before, but as they are not newly painted to take part in the league, they don't get the 'new team' bonus 10 points  :)

I agree on there not being any compulsory scales, but a bonus round for 15mms would be good as it can be hard to compare them to 28mms.

I got my final three entries turned in this week.  I am glad I made it through even though I am in last place.  Just finishing this competition is a huge hurdle.  Good luck to everyone finishing up and to those still in contention for top spots.  This has been a blast.

As someone in the bottom half last year, I can tell you that at the end of the day LPL is first for you and you alone; getting stuff painted and photographed is hugely satifying. The fact that you're up against painters who can actually pro-paint something doesn't mean the bottom half of the league should be disheartened.

I agree with you. The LPL is simply a brilliant device for fast tracking your painting. I have blatted through an entire Afrika Korps and Romano-British army over the last 3 - 4 months. I'd never have done that without the incentive of the LPL.

But think it's worth pointing out that out of 38 contestants there is only one actual pro-painter I know of involved in this LPL The rest of us are mere amateur hobbyists who do it for pleasure  ;)

Same here, finally finished a lot of stuff which has been sitting waiting - the advantage of the 5-figure teams is that it gets me to paint the whole unit for various things and then just pick a few to photograph. I've actually almost cleared the decks...

That said, the sheer quality of most of the painters in it is still disheartening, but in an inspirational way!  :D

Well, as there are only 2-3 people submitting 15mm miniatures on a regular basis I actually don't see any demand for a 15mm special round. Would be the same for let's say 54mm or 10mm...
