But man, do I suck at photography...

On the above - just to check. Does that mean that if, for example, I don't manage to finish something in time for round 4 I would pick which of my 3 previous entires I wanted to enter and email it again with above format? I'll be fine for round 4, but good to know for later rounds. First 3 inbound tonight.

Cheers

Not sure if this is helpful, but in the past I've actually taken new pictures of miniatures that I've posted on the web, but not used in Lead Adventure. It might help you do a bit better; I find that people won't be as likely to vote for a picture that they've actually seen before in a previous round. However, if the image is new to the League event, then it won't be so bad. You still won't get the 'new' figures bonus, but you will at least be presenting some fresh new pictures!

Thanks
n

I was sick all weekend, and miss a day at work yesterday. I wanted to take pictures of my first 3 rounds but haven’t had the time nor energy to do so… I should (sure hope so) get better this week and, hopefully, be able to send my entries before the deadline.

Rounds One, Two, and Three photographed this morning, edited, and sent in!

Thankfully I have a somewhat flexible job that's OK with me coming in a bit later and being vague about an "errand" that had to be done this morning before work!  ;)

Rounds Four, Five, Six, and Ten are all painted and finished, but I've run out of time to photograph them before we leave for a week holiday this coming Saturday. Rounds Seven, Eight, and Nine are variously in progress...

I just realised that I have misunderstood the rules... looking at last year's winners it is quite obvious, but I actually thought we were meant to use a plain background and not an elaborate display of stuff.

I will certainly improve my set ups for the rounds 5-10 then.  lol

Don't have to have a background. I did win a couple of rounds last year using a plain background so it can be done - but having said that I think on balance the set up certainly influences the vote in a lot of cases.

If you want to re photograph rounds 1 - 4 and send new versions with different backdrops, that's fine...

Do we have to wait to send in weeks 4 through 10? Or can I send them all in as soon as they are done?

Only 13 in so far...?
Is there usually a surge closer to the deadline? I know there were 30 (?) last year, but how about previous years, is this usual?

Yes, it's looking a bit light. Not sure why. A few years ago, we had 74 participants.
Bit of a shame that with six and a half thousand members, we can't find more than a handful willing to paint 50 or so wargames figures...  ::)
Then again, all those who have taken part before - probably a couple of hundred different people - will understand that it's kinda hard work... Still, you know what they say: no pain, no gain  ;)

We've still got a few days left. I'm sure we'll see some more entries before next weekend.

(Otherwise, it'll just be a small but perfectly formed tournament this time...)

You can send them in whenever you like  :)

Got one more mini to finish for round 3, hoping to finish painting tomorrow and take some photos, then I'll start worrying about the other 7 rounds  ;D

I guess there will be some more participants. I for example have all my first round entries ready but had no opportunity to take decent pics yet.
