At long last, I can post a link to my Japanese Aeronef model - MONI, now featuring as a workbench article on TMP, see; http://theminiaturespage.com/workbench/4896/

Part Two will detail the painting.

Wow, some really good stuff keeps popping up on this thread. Gamer Mac, love your stuff (and thanks for the workbench ideas) and Sinewgrab you have really come up trumps on your free Norway idea. My steam choppers have unfortunatley been packed up in boxes for a while now as we move house and I am itching to get them going again >:(

So next I hope to see some of your battle reports using them and some idea of the rules you might be using for ship to ship combats. Could be interesting if Malamute you don't mind extending this thread in that way?

Unfortunately, I have no VSF gamers where I am. There are a few that I might get into one or two games every years or so, but they are fighting it. In a way, 40k makes it too easy to quit being imaginative. Too obtrusive, and too many rules to allow you to think for yourself.

I'll have to keep track of this thread. I'll post some pictures of my fliers when I figure out this photo thing.

I only have one unit of flyers currently, my 1st US Airbourne Infantry. These are for my 15mm ACW G.A.S.L.I.G.H.T. armies. These photos were taken some time ago so I apologise in advance for them being a little ordinary thoufgh truth be told I'm not much better at photgraphy now...

These were made using the an Irregular Miniatures 6mm WW1 Taube Monoplane (GWP9) and Essex Miniature.

I eventually plan to add a unit of 1st Virginia Air Cavalry using balloons as described in the G.A.S.L.I.G.H.T. ACW Supplement.

Lovely imaginative use of the Taube model. Would never have thought of that. Love that crashed fellow. Well done!

Great stuff Barry S  :-*
I love the flyer design. Is it from your own imagination?
How did you do the goggles on such small figures?
Now we just need to work out how to copy it in 28mm lol
Got to agree with Plynkes the crashed one is brilliant put a big smile on my face when I scrolled down to it lol

Thanks.

The flyers were insprired by the flyer made by George Carson and his version can
be seen in the GASLIGHT section of his site.
GASLIGHT: http://www.geocities.com/carsong2001/gaslight.html
SITE: http://www.geocities.com/carsong2001/

It was his Impervious suit and flyer conversion which finally pursuaded me to go down the ACW-VSF road. As I had units already painted up for Brother Against Brother all I needed to do was add few VSF style units and I'd have a couple of GASLIGHT armies.

The goggles are small metal punchouts from a previous place of employment and I thught they'd be perfect for rivet heads. It turned out that they would work for goggles as well.

It hasn't been updated for sometime but if you're interested more of my 15mm VSF stuff can be viewed here.

Commissioned by the Royal Naval Aeronef Service, HMAS Moth is currently on detachment to Her Majesty's B.E.S.T until such time as I paint some naval types to crew her!

More details about her construction are in this thread: http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=12226

Irregular make a 15mm Tuabe in their WW1 range.

I was considering using it to make a two or three man bomber or mounting a small gatling on the front and using it as a anti-anti aircraft flyer to give the other flyers some protection from ground fire but that sounded silly :D

I think it will work, with some bits added!
