About mechanical dragonflies, they indeed appear not only in 'Steampunk' http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=43973.0 but also in 'Lacepunk' (http://www.drunkendragoonproductions.com/18thcentimagi-nation/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=81&p=241#p241) settings, for instance in the 'Ben Franklins War' http://bogdanwaz.blogspot.fr/2012/07/ben-franklins-war.html   http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=27216.msg330644#msg330644:

For those of us not confident enough in their conversions skills, Tobsen77 is to issue one (1/56)

http://wargameterrain.blogspot.fr/2012/07/tobsen-miniatures-libelle-aerial-unit.html
(would require some minor conversions to become a 18th C. / 'Clockworkpunk' contraption.)

Bezzo-

your aerial gunship has a very definite "Dieselpunk" vibe, it seems to me. Of course, I think that's deeply cool - we need more SF ala "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow"!

(No rivets, enclosed cockpit, two-tone paintjob with pinstriping and nose-art!)
from Mr.Vampire: "It's the paintjob that makes the miniature fight harder not the size."

As I've been unable to taunt Commander Carnage into revealing some of his flying marvels, I decided to do it for him. Too bad if he was hoping to unveil at Recruits.  :D

Now, the Prussian fliers on this side of the table, I believe, are VSF_Gamer's from Atlantis toy and PMC sub. However, in the distance, you can see, escorted by Star Wars skiffs, the Black Wing.

Oh, and things looking like dust mites above the cliffs, against the hanging flags , are Kraag warriors, attempting to retake the high Martian abode center right (Guns of Navarrone playset).

Grrrr...why do I even look at threads like this!?  I'm broke and don't need the temptation...but I've always loved turn of the century naval dreadnoughts, and this thread is filling my head with ideas and inspiration.

Damn. You. All.

Some wonderful flyers on here, chaps! Very inspiring!

Might I be so bold as to throw into the mix my newly finished British Hydrothermicopter?

Bezzo -

Um. What can I say? You clearly have great taste. And a fearsome vocabulary.

Thanks!

Glad to have been the target of such a fine mis-post!   :D

Do you have any other WIP images? I'd be interested in some from underneath, but will of course understand if I'm 'too late'.

Course, if it had more rivets, Svenn would have to hush...  lol
