Pegasus Bridge
« on: February 26, 2009, 10:56:29 AM »

We've played this scenario twice this week, I lost both times as the Germans. There is a photomontage  style report in the WW II Gallery section of the Photo Gallery on my site if you're interested ~

Really cool. I've always wanted to play this scenario. First went there when I was nine, and met Major Howard and Bill Millin (Lord Lovat's piper). My grandmother was a friend of Mrs Howard, so we got to bother and pester him. Actually you could not stop the two of them from nattering, and it was hard to get a word in edgeways. :)

I've always had an interest in this action, partly because the Ox & Bucks Light Infantry are (were) my local regiment.  I havent played the scenario for some time but still have the (same?) bridge and 3 of the old Britannia gliders along with a load of miniatures.

Some years ago I went to the bridge & had a (rather brief) chat with Mme Gondree.  She didnt seem best pleased when I said I was hoping to scratchbuild a model of the cafe.  :(

Not wishing to be a pedant David, but do you realise your bridge is the wrong way round.  ::)

Wrong way round or not. I was grateful of the slender cover it afforded:)
