Lacking a time machine, Excalibur have some nice old-school looking SF minis:

Also Moonraker Miniatures - amazing line with great late 80s/early 90s Copplestone sculpts (some are former EM-4 minis) and reasonably priced:

 ;)

EDIT> Moonraker's SpaceLords minis are awesome and better than GW RT, IMHO!

like the way you think  ;) ;)

Funnily enough a time machine is something I need to link the very disparate themes of my mini-meanderings .. . I'm thinking VSF adventurers (probably my greatest interest) travelling to post apocalyptic future via weird war interlude - with a bit of just about everything else thrown in in between.  One day, one day . . . . .

Not posted for over 120 days eh - time flies when you're as completely unfocused as me . . I have noticed that in that time the price of Iron Chickens as gone thru' the (coop) roof - rarer than hen's teeth now, apparently, and 5 times as expensive. Anyway, 'cos I never finish anything, the Iron Chicken is still w.i.p and now has some extra w.i.p bits to go with it - based on these, obviously . . .

Cheers Mason, the ideas are there it's the skills in execution and completion that are sadly lacking  ;)  ;)  More lack of progress on w.i.p's shortly . . . with some accompanying half-baked narrative to go with them! GDonk

Unfortunately, the scrappers former transport, a half completed camper van only managed to make it back to the scrappers base before itself being consigned to the heap.  Fortunately they managed to pick-up a half completed pick-up (whoops, bit tortious that) for their daily run around, allowing their gourmet cook to forage for food and other general supplies he might , literally, stumble upon.

The sun came out so I took "Big Bird" (WiP . . . . ) out and gave her spray of lovely Halfords primer.

and I thought I'd see how she looks with some of my now quite large collection of McDonald's Hummers.  There are 8 variants (or not so variant, depending on your view). These are just a couple.  The military ones are cool but I have to say that I'm rather fond of the Tallahassee/Columbus ride lookalike. Obviously they all need a re-paint and weathering (ah, WiP . . . . .) The dog was just passing . .
You may be wondering what any of this has to do with PA - I do too, sometimes.

I thought I'd do something with some bits from some sort of small rodent habitat system I found in a charity shop - it came in a fetching transparent green
