Here's my zombie test model. I've gone for a different approach using lots of strong tone wash since they're zombies and I'm too lazy paint them properly

I would describe that paint job in many ways. Lazy is not one of them.

Zombies are ideal models for trying new things such as freehand. And yes there'll be a tutorial at some point.

A couple more. I'm enjoying painting like this and it's been a good learning experience. Normally, I aim for reasonably smooth transitions but with these guys the paint gets slapped on with little regard for such things. The contrast is what makes the final result along with a few applications of strong tone wash :)
