Man, those are fantastic!

Also, I'm way behind on my SDE expansions.  I didn't recognize half of those heroes.

Can't say that I like chibies outside of certain onlf vgames too much, but that painting really is marvellous.
Delete from "outside" through "vgames" and that would be my response.

Top work.

I'd love to see a WIP video of how you did the flame effects.

@Professor Witchheimer: Thanks! Always good to get accolades from the scientific community. :D

@dijit: Cheers! :)

@Duncan McDane: Thanks very much. Getting praise for paintjobs on minis people usually aren't into much is always extra nice.

@Dentatus: Thanks muchly, the same as the above goes for your comment. :)

@Andym: Thank you! Yeah, those SDE minis allow one to go really crazy with some colours you usually wouldn't use much (pinks and oranges above all).

@Karadek: Thanks and yeah, they do release a LOT of stuff, don't they.

@Conquistador: :D Cheers, all the more thanks for taking the time to have a look and comment!

@Luddite: Thanks, Sir. I don't really do videos (or tutorials any more for that matter. Incredibly time consuming and I think that tutorials and guides are WAY overused these days in miniature painting.). It's really just some airbrush stuff followed by some basic shading and highlighting by hand. To be honest, I'm not particularly happy with the flame effects. It's really just bright colours and smooth-ish transistions, which always looks cool, but isn't really super-skilly in terms of painting. :D White, yellow, red, some careful shading by hand (that maybe is the only tricky part, because it doesn't make much sense, you just gotta get it to 'look right'), neatening up of the orange/yellow and maybe some "highlights" with darker red.

Hej, back on Super Dungeon Explore with a WIP shot:

Apart from all these shroomfolk I've got 4 Truffle Pigs, 3 Hidden Shrine heroesund, one Arena Champion, Salt and the Forgotten King to do. :)

Mushrooms are well on their way, same with the Truffle Pigs. Once all those are done I'll go on to do the character minis. Hope you like them so far!

Okay, one more WIP before bedtime. Here are the truffle pigs:

full size: http://www.tabletopwelt.de/uploads/monthly_2017_07/wip2.jpg.7dc4d2da24e31e14fdac21da6f37c9bc.jpg

Those are basically done. Maybe some neatening up here and there, but overall they're done. Except for the bases of course. Due to the sheen and the colour they do look quite delicious, don't they. :D Maybe I'll give them a little matte treatment so nobody tries to take a bite out of these piggies.

I better turn away from this thread now lest I be won over to chibies and start a new fantasy collection!  :-*  lol  The mushroom dudes and boars are awesome. Hope someone is having a ton of fun with these on the table.

@Spooktalker: Well, you know that you need to rebuy your whole Fantasy collection in chibi style again anyway, so better start sooner rather than later. ;)

So these here are mostly done now:

Dots on the big mushroom chaps need to be done properly.

This one's next on the list - Salt. Still very WIP, but I guess you get the concept:

Hope you like them!

In addition to being BEAUTIFUL creations, they are becoming increasingly tempting. Only the hundreds of miniatures that crowd the Vault keep me in check.
Keep up the FANTASTIC WORK...I enjoy the temptation. VERY WELL DONE once more!

@wminsing: Thanks very much. :) They do take quite a lot of time to do, even though they may look like there's a lot of airbrushing involved. Still, all the detailwork and all.. it does take time and effort. And 'getting into' the topic, because it's very different to what I paint usually of course. :)

@DeafNala: Thanks, Sir. Your comments are always most welcome.

Right-o, I have something finished to show:

So these are done. Final neatening up and all will be done later when I have a final look at everything before varnishing.

This leaves me with three minis to finish for this batch. The Arena Champion (currently WIP; pretty far on that one actually)...

...the Hidden Shrine Infiltrator (she's WIP as well, but pretty early stages. Just some base colours, some initial work on the hair and face)...

...and the Forotten King (the tall chap in the right, he's still just covered in primer):

Yeah, and that's it for this batch. Hope to get done very soon so I can show you pretty pictures!

Look at al the pretty colours....
Awesome job. I love the mini's too. They're just so different from the usual fair and look likes tons of fun to paint.

I'd really love to get into this game but it would be another game that would never hit the table.
I do enjoy looking at fun and terrific paintjobs such as these...

Wow! You can really see how you're switching things up with your painting style for the SDE stuff.
Good job!
'shrooms and boars look bangin'!  :)

@The Voivod: Thanks very much. :) Not to ruin my own chances of you making me paint your Super Dungeon Explore minis ;) ... the game (which has the best of reputations, no doubt there) does seem like quite an investment with all these expansions and supplements and all.

@Gargobot: Hullo. :) Thank ye, Sir!

Right-o, all done!

Everything looks great!
Tell me, did all that SDE stuff you painted so far go to the same client? If so he/she must have such an awesome SDE set.
