Really Lovely Work. Running out of superlatives to describe your painting. Do you use brands other than Essex? I rather like Essex figs myself, but some of the more animated stuff from War & Empire or Xyston would be nice to see. (And inspiring, as i have a bunch of these to paint myself.)

I went in on the recent War & Empire kickstarter, so I'll be getting their Vikings soon. I've also got a few packs of Xyston Thracians to go my Essex Seluecids.

I'm also on the W&E Kickstarter. I have been looking at their Byzantines. I suspect your painting style would look terrific on those.

Wow! I have painted many of them in my early years, never reaching this standard!  :-*

Splendid looking in their serried ranks!  :o
A treat to go to the boxes and take out my Polybian Army I've painted so many years ago...

Lovely, shows how effective a simple but really well executed scheme can be. I suspect my next 15mm Ancients are going to include a lot of white, so I am examining these minutely for hints at how to approach them.
