I really like your fur, it looks truly hairy, especially at the tips. Great work...

One heck of a conversion! Never would've guessed it was a converted piece.

The shield and sword guy had his chordate head gear removed years ago and the middle has the upper body from a bugbear(?) throne bearer.

Ah, yes - very subtle and effective horn surgery!

I know the Ral Partha throne: I think the bearers are ogres (of a late-70s sort) - or at least they're variants on this ogre model:

Anyway, superb stuff!

Marvelous thread! Awesome painting with a wonderful, unique style, and figures that I  :-*. Also can't go wrong with a dungeon setting for them.  Have admired some of these before so nice to have a moment here to complement them. Others are new, and the kind of visual treat that I hope for when I stop by LAF.

Have painted the bugbears myself, and I have a number of the Crooked Claw gobbos WIP. The chaos dwarves are one of my favorite ranges and have some to get to some day. Same with the diverse-style beastmen.

Keep it up!

The conversion took longer than the painting. The most omportant piece was a sanded down and slightly bend metal shield to hide the join. He is actually the most incompetnet beastman ever his horns permit him from bringing his trusty cleaver to bear...

It actually was your dungeon collection that mede me start this project. As you will see soon some of your paint schemes have been blatantly copied. At the moment my dungeon consist of only this section which was tossed around the desk for several weeks. I guess the old dungeon floor plans will have to do.

We want so much when we need so little. But the illumined man wants for nothing.

This is the only unreleased/ prototype citadel piece that I own and to me it proves why most unreleased stuff never saw circulation. Itīs simply crap. While the inner child in me is filled with joy about a demon firing cannon balls out of his behind the sculpting was extremly rough. Never mind the side parts that hardly join the body. Again the airbrush proved invaluable for the colour transitions and base and then it was endless hours of glazing and tinting over the 2016 christmas period. What a fitting subject. I should have noted down the recipe for the dwarf armour to use on some future undead...

The one and only diorama I ever did and I know why: they take ages. Started in 2015 finished about two years later. The base took longer than the miniatures which was mostly due to the cannon carriage getting shorted and the spare parts used for it needing excessive sanding and filling. I tried to use similar color schemes on all elements and there is actually the attempt at creating a light source with the dwarf in the centre. Mediocre pics donīt help here...

It came together over the course of two years with several months where the two minis just sat around. Still nothing I could finish over the course of a weekend though.

I believe it took Michaelangelo 2 years to sculpt the David statue, haha. Incredible result, regardless of the amount of time spent, however. I admire how rich your colors are in all these pics, I look forward to seeing more. Great thread!
