The Kalidahs of Oz - why doesn't anyone make these?

Yeah, Oz from the Baum novels, not Down Under.  How come no one makes minis of these things?

Seriously, that's a neat critter design.  There must have been forty different owlbear models over the years, but I never remember seeing a single kalidah fig.  Somebody throw Wiebe some money to sculpt a few of these already.  :)

I did toy with getting these done, though not based on that art.

I guess, techically, it's supposed to be a tiger head on a bear's body but this Catterwaul from Pacesetter Games looks pretty nice.

Shown with Tekumel figure for scale, 28mm to eye.

Big enough, but a little too feline for me.  Even if I trimmed the tail I think the body wouldn't be quite bearlike enough to suit.

Maybe I can headswap a bear model.  Wish Reaper would get their blasted Boneyard parts service going again.

Check ebay for D&D WRATH OF ASHARDALON BITS - CAVE BEAR

Somebody else tipped me off to this guy in an older thread on LAF. It's a good sized figure!
