Just Vallejo Old Gold washed with Agrax Earthshade and highlighted after the Matt Varnish to get back the shine:

Best acrylic gold paint there is imho.

Wow! :-* :-* :-*

Those look bloody marvelous both singly and especially en masse.

The only thing that has me resisting is that our local importer is charging $57 AUD for something that works out to be $37. Cheaper to by direct by a long shot.

The only issue with buying direct is the expensive shipping, even within the EU.

I emailed Firestormgames about the romans, since they already stock a few Victrix items, and they have been kind enough to add the EIR to the store :)

A-Mazing  :o

I don't know if this is what Romans really looked like - but this certainly looks like The Ermine Street Guard on manoeuvres.

Wonderful figures, and your painting has done them full justice.

They do look as they mean business, ready to grind the enemies of Rome. Great :-*

So what's going to be the next step?

Fantastic. Always amazed at how quickly you can paint so many figures.

Thank you all for the kind comments gents!

@RedRowan
I'm really enjoying these and they paint up really easily so it's not a chore at all. I can't wait to buy more at Salute  8)

@redzed
Dry Mud pigment from MIG mixed into my basing sand, that's all. I'm lazy!

@Corso/ Munindk
Yep, the attacking legionaries next but also more advancing ones as I personally prefer the poses. Different legion tho!
