Dabbling (maybe) in IHMN Gothic in 15mm
« on: April 01, 2017, 03:08:57 PM »
On a whim bought some Barghest figures on EBay which made me consider putting a (really) lost gypsy band in the Congo of Tarzan.  No, I did not hit my head and I do not have a fever.  Rabies, maybe...

So, where do I find figures for a Gypsy band in 15/18mm?  I have not even started researching what makes a figure "Gypsy" looking yet but thought posting here might force me to follow through before sanity set in.

I think Blue Moon could be a good first manufacturer to check. They do have an extensive VSF section.

Regret to say the closest I see in 15/18mm would be angry villagers and the Hags sets.

Were I into larger figures then there are more choices but I am choosing to stay smaller than 20 mm in figures in my "old age" period of life.

Blue Moon 18mm Vampire Hunters; paint them in bright silk colors and they will look like nice gypsy vampire slayers:

And the old hags as fortune tellers:

The fortune tellers's tent (a vintage craft item):

And a varda (a pendant charm):

The Blue Moon 18mm Pirates are also suitable for conversion as Gypsies:

Funny, I was thinking 'bloody brilliant...'  :D

Glenn, this is definitely causing me to follow you down the 15mm rabbit hole. Just teasing, I'm building some Black Hat forces from their Martian Empires line. Not sure I'd do Gypsies-on-Mars!, but I've contemplated far worse.  lol
