A Fighting Man of Mars
« on: February 12, 2007, 12:41:04 AM »
So I ran a second playtest game for Fantastic Worlds on Sunday. The title of the scenario is 'The Lost City of Mars', but since the city was lost (actually left behind at Nazrat's house) it became 'A Fighting Man of Mars'. The heroes are to save the princess, but the evil prince has taken refuge in an area where time does not work normally. Time speeds up, time slows down, and time reverses...

The Princess is being held captive by the evil Prince Garron Nes...

Carter Paxton to the rescue. If they'd only stop shooting...

Paxton's friend and ally, the green Martian, Torrus Nal kills off Nes' guards one by one...

Paxton spends a hero point and Heroic Leaps into combat with Nes...

Torrus Nal continues to kill the guards...

But wait. Time reverses. Wounds heal. The dead return...

I killed you once, I'll kill you again...

Run away, little man...

Torrus Nal and Paxton Carter team up to defeat the prince and save the princess...

I will write up and post the scenario on the FW playtest group later this week. If Overlord Johnson approves of it, it will also appear in the final book.

What's next? I'd like to make this a 3 part Mars adventure. Perhaps when the heroes escape the city they find themselves in a Mars 100 years in the future...

Options are endless....
