Yup, I'm also feeling like it is about time for an update! Hopefully all is well, and any distractions from your hobby are the kind that give hugs and curl up in your lap.
Kids, wife... a homeless man for a couple bucks. I'm not sure what you are into lol.

Obviously the hard bit is doing the face. You can always use Oyumaru to take a cast of the face of another figure, then make a copy with Green Stuff (though I use Procreate) and use that as the foundation for your new figure.
I've yet to do it with my scifi figs but here's a 10mm minotaur that started life as ogre:-

Wow! I never heard about this. Great idea, and even greater conversion potential! Thanks....and sorry for the OT.

How very nice of you to check in on me.

I haven't had much time for anything this autumn. I've had a massive workload, combined with supervising my first intern, while reading advanced classes to specialize in my field and caring for two children.

I'd love to update, but right now I haven't got anything new.
Today I made a large order to Alternative Armies, to further build my lead mountain. Hopefully I might get some time to build and paint during the holidays!

The good news is that lead mountains are half sized in 15mm lol

I think they'll only take up 1/8th the space of 28mm models (1/2³)  :D :D :D

Just have to decide what project to pursue next...

Is it a new 15mm sci do.project though? Because with 15mm sci do you could quite easily do at least a dozen projects all at once  lol

Good to know you're still going. Autumn has been very busy here too, with a new job and family commitments.

I've might have been a bit unclear in my communications: I'm still working on my everlasting 15mm sci-fi project Golgotha Prime!

What I'm pondering is what sub-project I'm going to work on next?

Should it be terrain, so that I can create different areas for my city (or badlands) board?
Should it be a new crew (or adversary), painting a cohesive group of minis with a unifying colour scheme?
Should it be more civilians and NPCs, to further fill my world with life?
Should it be single minis/adventurers, to be able to make non-cohesive crews?
Should it be vehicles, to further populate my boards?

I'm not sure, there's a lot of things I would like to do, but I can't really decide what. I want to do something that "makes a difference" on the board. But I do also want to play some games, telling a story. My problem is that I decide models, come up with a story, paint (slowly), and when it's done I've lost interest in that crew, wanting to create a new one...
Perhaps I should make a meta-campaign, where I can shift between different crews to tell a wider story? Better just start with playing some games, though...

I have found it very helpful to play games. Additions between games (I try to keep on a 2-week schedule) are kept minimal so that I can actually sit down and play without thinking "Well, I would play but this important thing is missing... so now I will build" Two weeks to paint a crew, some critters, sculpt some figures, create a little terrain, etc really is pretty manageable. And then it is all just small additions to the overall story/game. Make sense?

You could also try a hobby bingo game? Like this: https://robhawkinshobby.blogspot.com/2017/12/wargame-hobby-bingo-2018.html
