Wow, no consensus here either (on the 15mm sci-fi Facebook group they were prefering the pistachio one).

The thing is that these minis all have jumpsuit, so the jumpsuits will be single colour, while the boots and belts will be another. I think I'll paint the caps in the same colour as the jumpsuits.

My main problem is that I'm afraid that the orange will look weird next to the lighter skin colours (not enough contrast), but I'm also afraid that the pistachio will be too similar to the doctor's colours.

Here's an example mini, blockpainted to show the jumpsuit:

Here's my take on the figures, I went with blue and a grey 'collar'

I love your Sandport thread!

You've got a great looking set of minis, but I think they might look too much like a police/security force. I want them to have striking colours, also not looking like anyth else I put on my table.

I like the blue too, reminds me of the movie Outlander!

I agree, immediately obvious as to who they're meant to be too.  I must admit now I've seen yours done with 'separate' trousers splitting the boiler suit at the belt line gives a lot more options.

Oh, Z - those are excellent!

I'm a bit intrigued by those khaki pants/coloured shirts minis, while the green ones look like I'm envisioning my squad (but I want them not to be able to be mistaken for military/police/security forces, I want them to have a garish, corporate look).

Thanks Ockman,
Glad you like them.
How about if you paint them in orange coveralls, then?
Like these

I was stuck with painting the green techs , in orange or green.
The red & blue corporate security guys were painted like that  to have 2 separate groups. Was thinking about black or dark grey .
Like these

White undercoat,  sand overcoat, then red/blue, brown leathers , flesh & a WN peat brown wash . Finished with simple highlights with the appropriate base colour.

I love GZG 15mm ( look at some of their faces ) & 15mm in general as it doesn't take that long to paint.

The blue and gray combination was very effective.  Zrrunelord, your color choices were also quite good - very fine looking figures.  I think the orange jumpsuit looks too much like prison clothing (works well for penal troops, or escaped prisoners), and the "international orange" color looks too much like pilots (again, effective for pilots !  But not for what looks like a private security force).

Thanks Ockman,
I guess it depends what you envisage them to be, then.
A strict uniform group , a loose uniformed mil contractor , black or grey or blue suits, 1960's James Bond film goons ?
Or something else?

Ockman, I liked your blue livery for a deliveryman (although it might look somewhat police like).

How about taking a look at some current delivery liveries for inspiration ?  Below is UPS brown :

I like the ups brown the most & the purple & black next.  Though the latter may be difficult to do in 15mm.

The rest don't catch my eye.

Have to find a khaki brown to match the ups one. I should have a colour that matches it. Khaki brown, black shoes & belt, perhaps cap but for military, I have enough security guys as it is .

I love how much everybody has engaged in the colour choices of my delivery service!

My first thought was actually to go UPS brown, but thought it would be too little contrast to darker skin tones.

My second thought was to go with the orange/peach and black that character Burek Panko was sporting, but I thought it would be too little contrast to lighter skin tones.

I want a visually distinct look, something that will be easy to pick out on the table, that's somewhat easy to paint (rather one-coloured jumpsuits than two-piece uniforms) and doesn't look any of my current (or planned) crews/security forces/police/corporations/military units. Also, I want them to be pretty colourful!

Now, I'm thinking about painting them in Iron Oxide Orange (https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/2163/6633/products/60649-2_grande.jpg?v=1509391307), but I don't know if I can mix it myself. Ought to go with orange + some kind of brown?

What about orange with a little yellow and blue?
Orange body, yellow boot or maybe a stripe down the side?  Blue boots, or hat.  It may help to look for logos online.  Type in delivery service, or medical lab and it might give you a logo you can use for your chracter’s company.
