What I painted in april of 2024
« on: April 07, 2024, 04:31:23 PM »
It should say "what I *completed* in april 2024...

I really like these desert dwellers which the Perry brother sculpted to Games Workshops addition to the Peter Jackson Middle Earth universe.

Always loved those guard models and yours are particularly well done.

You nailed the saddle blankets Hammers.  Well cool.

Absolutely stunning paintwork, just need a shimmering outline of a rider in the distance.

Not too much yet, but April isn't over and I have some more on my painting desk...

Very cool, Michi, esp. the strawberry blob.

Not on their permanent base, yet, but I have finished the first three figures for my 15mm wood elf army. Some members of the elven king’s knights. The figures are from Magister Militum, the Chariot Miniatures range (I think).

Very nice!
I thought I could see the light at the end of the tunnel … but it was just some sod with a torch bringing me more work!

Thanks! I have another 12 of these ready to paint. I’m aiming to get them done and based by the end of the month. Could happen!

Lovely work on those ex-Chariot Elf knights. Watch out for those plumes on the helmets as they’re very fragile.

Thanks Citizen Slade! I noticed that about the plumes. One actually did break off one of the figs in the picture - I considered removing them from all of the knights but decided to try a rebuild first. I drilled and added a wire pin, then used green stuff to build a replacement. It’s not a perfect match to the original, but it’s not bad.

That’s dedication. I removed them from mine after the first few casualties.
