beautiful and well painted minis..is quite rare to see tabletop battles of Second Boer War which is among my favourites...really interesting for me as i have same Foundry 28mm minis ..good idea to also use Frontier Light Horse as proxie for Boers :-) your scenario seems straightforward and quite confortable: few minis and easy to reproduce terrain features..where did you get the historical inspiration..? a ready made scenario?

I wrote the scenario based on my research of the actual battle. The results came out pretty close to the actual battle. I would have liked to have seen the Boer players hang in a little longer but they decided to withdraw. Can't blame them. The British Guard Dragoons were coming up on their flank on Horseshoe Hill. Probably what the Boers would have done anyway. Overall I was pleased with the scenarios.

I use the Frontier Light Horse to represent the Foreign Volunteer Commandos and ZARPS. This particular battle had Germans, Dutch, Irish, Scandinavians and a few Americans fighting for the Boers.

Good looking game and of real interest to me as my great grandfather fought in the second Boer war. :)

Which unit did he serve in?

He was in the Seaforths.

Impressive and inspiring game :)
Surprised this period doesn’t have more wargaming attention.
